1997 Harmon Rocket II. The pilot made a hard landing on a residential street, snapping off the main landing gear and skidding to a stop. All repairs have been made and it has been deemed airworthy by a conditional inspection conducted in April of this year. TT of engine and aircraft is 210 hours, with 4 hours on the Hartzell model HC-M2YR-1BF propeller. The engine is a Lycoming IO-540-C4B5, narrow deck engine with 260 HP. Crankshaft dialed at .001″. “Shower of Sparks” magnetos/ignition system. In the cockpit is a Narco AT150 transponder, Narco Com 810, ACK ELT, Flightcom 403 intercom, Man. Press/Fuel Press. Gauge, Tachometer, Airspeed Ind., Altimeter (jet/airline style), VSI, Wet/Whiskey panel-mounted Mag. Compass, Dual Volt/Amp gauge, Accelerometer.G-meter, Electric clock, Electric Flaps, Electric Pitch Trim, New Oregon Aero Seat Cushions and upholstery, stick-only in rear seat, and dual shoulder harnesses. New paint in 2016. Flies just like the rocket that it’s named after.
