You looking at our 1966 Learjet very rare Dee Howard XR model

Probably only one or two remaining. Last flown in 2018/19 out to Avcon Industries to have hush kits installed among other things. This XR model is rated to fly faster, higher and for longer duration than other 24’s and 25’s. I only know of one other complete Learjet 24XR. This Learjet 12 year is good till 2025/6. The plane will need some work before it can be airworthy. The engines were last cycled I believe around 2021ish. They have been covered this whole time. There is some corrosion too that I noticed on the flap turnbuckles. They can easily be replaced.

To be clear this is not a Gates Lear. It was manufactured before Bill Lear sold the company to the Gates Rubber Co. This actual Learjet was manufacture alongside Clay Lacy’s Lear 24. In addtion Bill Lear would have had direct oversight of it’s construction. Somewhere along the way this plane made its way to Dee Howard to have the extensive XR upgrade modifications done. Which I think is pretty awesome.

Some noteworthy facts about this aircraft is that it was once owned by Sheikh Salem Bin Laden. The founder of the Saudi Binladin Group. Half brother of Osama. The Saudi Binladin Group or SBG has a large roll in the construction of the new Jeddah Tower.

Dee Howard owned the plane following Sheikh Salem Bin Laden. All log books and oxygen masks. New batteries in 2017/18 which is also about the time hush kits were installed.
