1941 AERONCA 65CA SUPER CHIEF, REBUILT IN 2001, NOW SERIOUS DAMAGE, CHEAP !! THE PREWAR 7 SERIES AIRPLANES WERE SIDE BY SIDE SEATING, METAL TUBE WITH FABRIC COVERING, WITH WOOD SPARS IN THE WINGS. IDENTIFIED BY THE ENGINE SIZE,  FOR INSTANCE 50C IS A CHIEF WITH A 50 H.P. CONTINENTAL ENGINE. THIS AIRCRAFT IS A 65CA, WHICH THEY CALLED A “SUPER CHIEF”, DUE NOT ONLY TO THE HIGH HORSEPOWER ENGINE (65 !) BUT OTHER MISC. IMPROVEMENTS TO THE PLANE AS WELL. ACCORDING TO THE LOGBOOKS, THIS AIRPLANE WAS REBUILT, DOWN TO SANDBLASTING THE METAL TUBE FRAME, AND RECOVERED WITH STITS POLYFIBER FABRIC, IN 2001. TIME SINCE 2001 IS APPROXIMATELY 50 HOURS.  HANGER KEPT SINCE THEN, THE AIRPLANE WAS IN GOOD CONDITION. UNFORTUNATELY, THE OWNER OF THE AIRPLANE, WHO OBVIOUSLY WASNT SUPER CURRENT IN THIS AIRPLANE, HAD A BIT OF A PROBLEM ON LANDING, AND STALLED THE AIRPLANE SHORT OF THE RUNWAY AND SPUN IN. THIS AIRPLANE IS SERIOUSLY DAMAGED, WITH DAMAGE ALL OVER.  BUT, AS YOU CAN SEE, IT IS NOT ALL DESTROYED.
