If you are looking for a great set of bones to start your next project airplane, this is the aircraft for you!

This is a 1979 Piper Turbo Dakota. The hours are incredibly low on this aircraft, and it has lived in Colorado its entire life. Dry climate makes for a clean airframe! The engine was removed from this aircraft to undergo a prop strike inspection following a prop strike to uneven ground. Unfortunately, the crack rejected during the inspection, but the crankcase is good and certified. We are including another engine with this sale to aid in the engine search. The engine we are including is a prop struck TSIO-360-LB(8) which can be converted FB engine by replacing the induction, exhaust, and baffling from the TSIO-360-FB(1) (which is also included). Once you get a prop strike inspection done on the replacement engine and switch over a couple parts, you will have yourself a flying airplane with 1300 hours left of engine life. Ultimately, the direction you take this airplane is up to you. You can fix the engine and have a flying airplane, or you can paint it, replace the interior, and put a glass panel in it. Either way the choice is yours!
