1950 CESSNA 170A, 4383 TT, CLEVELANDS, FLIPPED ON LANDING ROLL-OUT, GREAT PROJECT. THE CESSNA 170A HAS THE MODERN DESIGN SINGLE LIFT STRUTS AND A MORE MODERN DASH LAYOUT LAYOUT, SIMILAR TO THE VENERABLE 170B THIS AIRPLANE HAS 4383 TT SINCE NEW. IT IS A NICE AIRPLANE, WELL MAINTAINED AND UPDATED. UNFORTUNATELY, THE AIRPLANE IS EQUIPPED WITH THE CLEVELAND WHEEL AND BRAKE UPGRADE, WHICH MEANS THE BRAKES ACTUALLY WORK !! EVERYBODY WANTS TO HAVE CLEVELANDS, BUT HAVING THE BRAKES ACTUALLY WORK CAN BE A PROBLEM IF THE PILOT GETS TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY CARRYING TOO MUCH SPPED, AS IT IS PRETTY EASY TO NOSE A TAILDRAGGER OVER IN THIS SITUATION. THE PILOT NOSED THE AIRPLANE OVER, AND IT CAME TO REST UPSIDE DOWN. DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE IS VERY LIGHT. THERE IS A TEAR IN THE TOP FUSELAGE SKIN WHERE AN ANTENNA PUNCHED TROUGH, AND A SMALL DENT ON THE AFT TAILCONE, POSSIBLY FROM HANDLING AFTER THE INCIDENT. THE WINDSHIELD AND RIGHT REAR WINDOW ARE CRACKED THAT APPEARS TO BE ALL OF THE FUSELAGE DAMAGE, THE REST OF THE DAMAGED ITEMS ARE BOLT ON. THE MAIN GEAR SADDLE AREA LOOKS GOOD THE FIREWALL LOOKS GOOD THE BELLY APPEARS UNDAMAGED THE TAILWHEEL SPRING ATTACH AREA LOOKS GOOD ( THE TAILWHEEL AND SPRING THEMSELVES ARE NOT INCLUDED, SORRY) THE DOORS ARE UNDAMAGED AND FIT WELL THE BOOTCOWL AREA IS UNDAMAGED THE UPPER COWL HAS SOME DAMAGE, AND THE LOWER COWL IS HURT WORSE. THE RIGHT WING HAS BUCKLING INBOARD, WHILE THE LEFT WING IS ONLY DAMAGED OUTBOARD AND AT THE TIP. BOTH FLAPS LOOK GOOD BOTH AILERONS LOOK GOOD BOTH LIFT STRUTS LOOK GOOD THE HORIZONTAL AND ELEVATORS LOOK GOOD BOTH GEAR LEGS LOOK GOOD THE CLEVELAND WHEELS AND BRAKES ARE UNDAMAGED THE ENGINE MOUNT LOOKS GOOD THE ENGINE WAS DAMAGED, AND HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE MOUNT WITH ALL ACCESSORIES AND IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING.
